Default Food / Potluck Discussion for this event

Food / Potluck Discussion for this event

Main dishes are requested.
Once we have enough main dishes being brought,
we might consider side dishes.

If you have plastic ware and would like to contribute to this
event, please bring some along. We don't need a whole bunch,
I just know that Mike was getting low at the last event.

Also, disposable plates, cups, bowls would also be a good thing
to bring along, a small collection would help Mike a lot.

Currently we have several PAS members attending and
some guests. The RSVP for the food list is growing.
Check it out. Also, if you haven't RSVP'd your food, please
let me know what you are bringing. WE want this to be a
yummy, with variety, potluck. Some of our members are
awesome cooks! Please try not to duplicate.

Although, Church's fried chicken is different than a rotisserie chicken.
Even though they are both chicken.

Continue this discussion.... what foods are we bringing.
What kind of drinks would you like to see at this event.

If you choose to bring a main dish and a dessert, you are very welcome
to do so. I know some of our members think dessert is a main dish.

Here's the potluck dinner list, thus far. I'm updating it as I get more
details from those attending.

http://www.pasaz.org/forums/download...do=file&id=185

Notice, it has an arrival time. If you plan to arrive after 6pm, you might
want to let us know, so we can save some food for you, you know,
hold back and not eat everything in sight before you get there.

Although, one of our members said it correctly and accurately... if you know
the event that has food, such as the potluck, starts at 6pm and you aren't there at the start time, you can't expect the food to wait on you. Get there on time if you want some of everything!

See you there!

Default Discussion about the Weather for this event.

Discussion about the Weather for this event.

The weather for this event, as of this morning on Ch 3,
said Rain starting Friday evening and going until Tuesday.

Last Weekend when they said that, it rained the first couple
days pretty hard and then the later part of that forecast
worked out to be nothing in the way of rain.

Remember, this is monsoon season. A storm can show up from
no where, in a matter of minutes, and mess up an event.

So, let's keep an eye on the weather.
If you have an update, post it here.
We have some new PAS members attending this event,
and we don't want to have them drive all the way to Mike's
and have the event canceled due to weather. I'd rather
get the message out to them sooner than later.

I will be monitoring the weather from this morning to about
an hour prior to the start of the event.

I hope to see some weather updates.

Sam writes: NOAA says 56% cloud cover and 34% chance of rain.

The potluck and Lecture are rain or shine.
Some of us will attend just for Mike's lecture.
Oh, and the food, of course.

Accuweather is saying 60% chance of T-storms, but only .04 inches of rain. I cannot get the rain percentages per hour for Saturday night yet, but the early afternoon looks good. 8am to 2pm is 4% chance of rain.
