Public Star Party at Phoenix College

Email from contact at Phx College
received Jan 19 2018:

Dear Phoenix Astronomical Society,
I am reaching out to you in regards to our astronomy and engineering event at Phoenix College, Friday, February 16th. Our main audience for this event will be middle school girls and their families, from 12 middle schools across the Valley.
We have been working with the aforementioned middle schools in our program called TEC is For Girls! (Technology, Engineering and Computer Science), in which our goal is to empower young women across the Valley in TEC content and peak their interest in pursuing a degree in a TEC field.
While we are in collaboration with the Arizona Science Center for many of the engineering and astronomy activities, we would love if members of the Phoenix Astronomical Society could participate with their telescopes and help inspire our young women and their families with star gazing.
Please let me know if this would be something of interest. I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,
Nichole

More details to come.
