Default RSPV's for this event:

Public RSVP's for Telescope Workshop:

Jill C.: Celestron Nextar

Public RSVP's for Star Party:

Kory A. + 3 kids (ages 2, 6, and 10)

Telescope Teachers:

Don
William

We will be doing our Telescope Workshop in G-147 tonight. Should there be a clear spot
to see through the clouds, we will help you move your scope outdoors to try out what
you learned during the workshop.

Telescopes for star party:

We believe that due to the weather, there may be too many clouds to see much this night. If
you wish to brave the clouds and wait for them to move out of the way so we can see the
brighter objects, please join us.

Default Weather updates:

From Don 4/9: Weather for the Tele workshop Thursday, is not looking good. Accuweather is saying partly cloudy and windy. I cannot get the hourly forecast yet so cannot give a percentaqge of clouds, but winds are forecast to be 18 with gusts of 33.

Remember, the weather can change between Monday and Thursday, so
don't take this too seriously yet, until the day of the event. That's
when we know for sure.

Update 4/11:
Thursday is not looking good right now...45% cloud cover from 7 to 10
and 6 out of 10 for astronomy..

Default Indoor event tonight

Due to the weather, possibly a lot of cloudiness and winds,
we will be holding the Telescope workshop indoors in G-147.

We will also have:
The PVCC Physics and Astronomy Club will be doing indoor "survival physics & astronomy" activities as a club event tonight even if the weather stays bad.

And possibly, Meteorite Man will be there to share his enthusiasm about
meteorites.

PAS Members, we need at least 1 telescope teacher to cover the RSVP's
above.

Public, be sure to RSVP with me by 3pm today (Thursday Apr 12) so
I can be sure a Telescope Teacher for your type of telescope is
available to assist you.

If you wish to attend for the Indoor "Survival physics & astronomy" activity, no need to RSVP.

However, if it is falling rain, we are canceling the event!
