Default BMC Public Star Parties 2019-2020

Black Mountain Campus (BMC) Star Parties Fall 2019 into Spring 2020

These events have been added to the PAS Website. RSVP if you wish to attend. RSVP is highly suggested because bad weather will cancel this type of event. Also, if there is no Public attendance and/ or no PAS Members bringing telescopes that night, the event may become cancelled, so a quick RSVP to Events@pasaz.org with the number in your party ensures you know the status of the event you wish to attend. Any changes to the events will be emailed to those of you who RSVP, by 4pm the day of the event. Please include Date & Name of event you are requesting to attend in all RSVP's.

Weather & Situations that can cancel these events:
high winds
blowing dust
any rain / precipitation
too many clouds
no Telescopes available to attend

Please note, times of events are based on when the sun sets. Indoor activities start usually 1 hour prior to the star party. And admittence to the Observing Deck will be not available until the start of the star party to allow the telescopes to get set up with no public on the Observing Deck. This is for your safety, as vehicles are unloading and moving around on the Deck. Please wait until the start of the star party to walk down to the Observing Deck. And Please enjoy the indoor activities while you wait.

Always check the on line PAS calendar link (provided above) for the status of the event before you attend, in case something has cancelled the event, or a change has been made to the start or end time. PAS would love to have you attend these “fun for all ages” astronomy events.

Help keep these events FREE to attend by following these 2 rules:
1) No White Light on the Observing Deck or near the telescopes
2) Please DO NOT TOUCH the telescopes

Wishing everyone a fantastic day!
